To connect the extender to the existing AirCard Mobile hotspot wireless network, you need to first perform the Netgear extender setup properly.
- Turn on the extender and wait for the power light to turn green.
- From your computer, search for the range extender SSID and connect to it.
- Now, open the web browser and wait for the Netgear genie to appear on the screen.
- The genie will search for the available networks and check the list.
- Enter the password for the network and click ‘Continue’. If you don’t find the name of the network, then place the extender close to the network.
- Select the same frequency band on both the devices and click ‘Continue’.
- If you want to change the settings of the extender at a moment, then go to ‘Change settings’ otherwise click on ‘Keep as it is.
- After 2 minutes, the pop-up message appears showing the current settings of the extender. Review the settings and see if these are correct or not. The computer gets disconnected from the extender wireless network.
- Now, connect to the extender’s SSID from the wireless network list of your computer and try browsing the internet.
- Go to the Genie screen and click on the option ‘My devices are connected to the extender’.
- Click ‘Finish’ to close the setup page.
