How To Configure Aircard Mobile Hotspot With Wireless Range Extender?

To connect the extender to the existing AirCard Mobile hotspot wireless network, you need to first perform the Netgear extender setup properly.

  1. Turn on the extender and wait for the power light to turn green.
  2. From your computer, search for the range extender SSID and connect to it.
  3. Now, open the web browser and wait for the Netgear genie to appear on the screen.
  4. The genie will search for the available networks and check the list.
  5. Enter the password for the network and click ‘Continue’. If you don’t find the name of the network, then place the extender close to the network.
  6. Select the same frequency band on both the devices and click ‘Continue’.
  7. If you want to change the settings of the extender at a moment, then go to ‘Change settings’ otherwise click on ‘Keep as it is.
  8. After 2 minutes, the pop-up message appears showing the current settings of the extender. Review the settings and see if these are correct or not. The computer gets disconnected from the extender wireless network.
  9. Now, connect to the extender’s SSID from the wireless network list of your computer and try browsing the internet.
  10. Go to the Genie screen and click on the option ‘My devices are connected to the extender’.
  11. Click ‘Finish’ to close the setup page.
